About the client

Kustom Printing Products, founded by Chris Allen over 15 years ago, was established to address the needs of the mailing and coding industry with honest and reasonably priced solutions. Chris has assembled a team of individuals with over 40 years of combined customer service experience. At Kustom Printing Products, the primary focus is on providing professional and reasonable customer service to ensure the satisfaction of every customer. The company is committed to delivering the best possible service and saving our customers money, backed by the guarantee of excellence.

Project goals

At Kustom Printing Products, our main objective was to develop a web application that would enable our customers to efficiently manage their orders while storing customer information securely. We focused on creating a custom order control system that empowers the key employees to view and fulfill customer orders seamlessly. One of the critical requirements of this web application was to ensure offline functionality, allowing company employees to access and use the application even in areas with poor or no internet connection. This offline capability ensures that the team can efficiently manage orders and customer information regardless of the location or connectivity status, providing a seamless and reliable user experience.

Key challenge

The requirement to make the application work offline led us to develop a Progressive Web Application (PWA) for Kustom Printing Products. PWAs are web applications that can be accessed and used even without an internet connection, making them highly reliable and useful in areas with poor or no connectivity. This feature ensures that employees can continue to manage orders and customer information seamlessly, regardless of their location or internet status.
Another interesting feature we implemented was a custom calendar, similar to Google Calendar, which allows users to view and manage appointments efficiently. This calendar feature enables the team to keep track of appointments, schedule tasks, and stay organized in their work.
In addition, we incorporated a manual signature functionality, allowing clients to sign documents on the screen to indicate their agreement with the work performed. This feature streamlines the process of obtaining client approvals and ensures that all necessary signatures are captured digitally within the application.
Furthermore, we developed a custom timer that enables employees to track their work time, allowing them to start and stop the timer before and after completing their tasks. This feature provides accurate time tracking and helps in managing work hours effectively.
All these features were designed to enhance the functionality and usability of the web application, providing an efficient and user-friendly experience for both the employees and the clients of Kustom Printing Products.

Our solutions

We build an admin system for business management with React and .NET Core, and implement PWA (Progressive Web App) features to enable offline functionality. Having a custom order control system that allows main employees to view and fulfill customer orders can greatly streamline business operations and enhance customer service.
The use of PWA technology ensures that the application will continue to be useful even in areas with poor or no internet connection. PWA allows the application to work offline and provide a seamless user experience, ensuring that employees can access and use the application even in remote locations or areas with limited internet connectivity.
By leveraging custom software development processes, you can tailor the application to meet the unique needs and requirements of your business. This can result in a more efficient and effective system that aligns with your specific workflows and processes.
Our approach to build an admin system for business management with React, .NET Core, and PWA is commendable. It demonstrates a focus on providing a robust and user-friendly solution that can be accessed and used in various situations, including offline scenarios.

Result

As per the requirements, we have developed a web application for Kustom Printing Products that focuses on managing the maintenance and repair of printers and their components. The application is designed to be user-friendly and efficient, providing a seamless experience for both the administrator and the employees.
The administrator has the ability to distribute orders to employees and monitor the status of these orders throughout the process. This ensures efficient order management and allows the administrator to keep track of the progress of each order in real-time.
Employees, on the other hand, can view their assigned orders and go through the entire cycle of fulfilling them. This includes updating the status of the orders, recording the progress, and marking them as completed once the maintenance or repair tasks are done. This allows for smooth coordination and communication among employees, ensuring that all orders are handled promptly and efficiently.
The web application also includes features such as notifications and alerts to keep employees and the administrator updated on the status of orders, as well as reporting and analytics functionalities to track performance, productivity, and other relevant metrics.
Overall, the web application provides a comprehensive solution for managing printer maintenance and repair orders, streamlining the workflow, and ensuring efficient communication and coordination among employees and the administrator.
